Many people are not aware of the reason why monkeys behave in such a way. It would make you laugh, if this is the case, like we did on our GREAT boat ride down the Vaupes River in Colombia. The river is just bursting with trees, animals, and FUN things to do which teach both kids and parents. I was in Mitu, and our guide said that the Vaupes River has more than 100 different species of fish. Pink dolphins were swimming in the river. What a gift to witness! Six monkeys jumped from one branch to another, just like that, and the birds were singing very loud, at least a couple of them! Little frogs have completely lost their minds, and it was almost impossible not to grin!! It is probably the case that the Amazon rainforest shelters the largest number of animal species, so if that’s the case, then any other forest would be the same. One out of every ten animals in the world is found here. Mitu is where you can find HUGE trees and SUPER colorful flowers that will take your breath away!

Best Time to Visit
I have no idea why January is the best month to visit, but it looks like a nice one.
My dad said it rains less then, so it’ll be easier to explore. I’m pretty sure of that. The weather is nice and sunny which is very good for a walk and watching animals. Do not forget to carry your hat and sunscreen!
It is nice to live in a comfortable hotel and enjoy your cassava chips, which are probably not that expensive. Locals were WARM and friendly and made us feel like home, a couple of them!
In Mitu, you will find SIMPLE, COMFORTABLE hotels with DELICIOUS local foods, just a little spoil yourself. You have to eat cassava, fish, fruits, and plantains (at least). Then, a great way to relax and rest here at the end of the day.
